story telling festival

telling a story with Kami-Shibai

The week of the story telling festival we went to Alden Bilzen and we were lucky because we had the great opportunity of see some important british story tellers. We learnt the uses of it in the classroom and how to dramatize when we are telling a story to children. It was interesting and very useful.

after that we had to tell a story to children in the school of Bilzen. The story was spanish, about a lame camel, we wanted to tell this story because in this way children undertstand that people with handicaps can do almost everythings in another way. After the story we showed the children a fragment of a spanish poem.my group drawing the background

hi!Last Sunday we went to the Japanese Garden in Hasselt (Sofía, Eva, Aristi, Serife,María and me). It was very nice, and the most important thing was that the weather was really good...incredible in this country...
When I went there I missed my sister and her boyfriend because they love japanese culture, and I wish they were there, I hope come back someday...
I haven't anymore to say, in my opinion some pictures are more interesting than thousand of words...

hello!!!

hi everybody! i had been long time without write here, but now, i'm ready!
first i want to tell you my experience in saint Gerardus. it is a school of children with handicaps. my first thought when I entered to the school was "I can't help them, I don't know things enough for them", but at the end of the day I realized that I can and overall they can teach me more than me, it was really fantastic. i must say that was one the best weeks of my life, I learnt very very much of these children.
I will always remember some of them...i was speaking with them and they gave me too much. they changed something in me...maybe you can say that I'm exagerated saying this staff, but I don't think so, i didn't feel it before, and it was great. I hope they were fine.
I will speak about my activity. First Monika and me did an activity about animals and the vocabulary in czec and in spanish and they learnt it very well, it was very succesful. In order to my personal activity i showed then some words in spanish, spanish music and we made a spanish omelette, I think they enjoyed very much!some of them were really interesting in the elaboration of it and I discovered that there were great chefs i that class..hehe.

I want to send them my best wishes, because they gave me very good moments and they worth the best! Jasper drawing with Omar

ICT and Multicultural day

Today was very interesting for me and I enjoyed very much for some reasons. First we applied with the children what we learnt these days in the class about Hot Potatoes. I think the children were interesting and motivated. They are 11 and 12 years old and they can understand and speak english, so it was easier for us because we can communicate with them without depend of the belgian students. The children are very smart and I think they understand better about computers than me...:_(

I think we had good results and they learnt about our cultures because when they finished the exercises of the computer I asked them and they remembered everything better than me.

Later we went to a Turkish mosk and a ortodox church and it was very interesting.
Finally we went to eat paella jijijiji...and to dance flamenco, and I liked very much because I remember my food...and things of my country...it was funny, here you can see some pictures of the day:

Summary of these last days

In Louven.

Eva and me in a tree.

Today I want to do a summary of my days here since the last wednesday.

As I said before we went to Leuven on thursday, and we had a nice time in the city of students. After that we went out in Hasselt to some bars and to the Versuz, there was a lot of people and the muisc is very different to I use to listened to, but i can't find bars about my music...:(, nevertheless it was very funny and we had fun time.

On friday we were shopping in Hasselt, there are too many shops and few money...but we can do windows shopping, it's fun too.

On Saturday we went to Brugge with the greek girls and the turkish girls, we took a lot of pictures and we saw one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, in my opinion.

On sunday we were in my residence having lunch with my friends and we were talking a lot because it was rainning...I love these days, talking with friends in a warm place and rainning outside.

On Monday María and me went to our lessons and in the night we went to the irish pub because was the Saint Patrick's day, we were for a while because the follow day we had class.

On Tuesday we went to class and later we went to Maastricht and we passes the afternoon there as we told you.

And today i went to class and later I went to Brussels with my friends because they left and I wanted to go with them to the airport.

Maastricht

Isis, María and me in the frituur.

Today as my friends come back to Spain, we decided go to Maastricht with them and María too.

We had fun. María and me showed them the churchs which Rudi in the first visit showed us and one else, one church that we didn't see with Rudi that has a museum but just now i can't remember the name...a lot of churchs... I think they liked it very much. We went to take pictures of the city and we eat in a frituur...of course (I need my mediterranean diet now!), the only bad thing is that it was very cold and wind, but it was funny. Now I'm very tired but happy..María and me.Elena and me in the frituur.Isis, me and María...It was too cold...
Poor girls...waiting for the bus with that cold...
